About
Jó Klanovicz is Assistant Professor at the History Department at UNICENTRO, and Professor at the Graduate Program In History (UNICENTRO). He was awarded a CNPq post-doctorate fellowship for conducting research in Ethno-history and Environmental History of Kaingang, Xokleng and Guarani indigenous groups in Southern Brazil (2007-2008). He holds a Ph.D. in History from Federal University of Santa Catarina, where he had worked with the environmental history. He has published his work in Brazil and abroad. His research interests include environmental history of Latin America, Disasters in History, and history of science. He is member of the Sociedad Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Historia Ambiental (Solcha), Brazilian Historical Association (ANPUH), and Brazilian Society for the History of Science and Technology (SBHC). He leads the CNPq Research Group for Environmental History at UNICENTRO.
